چکیده
This paper describes three-dimensional unsteady simulations of sand–water flow within a turbine passage. Sand abrasion movable guide vane made from ZG06Cr13Ni4Mo is tested before and after tungsten carbide spray-coating. forms medium- high-strength stainless steel castings for engineering structures. Different sand particle sizes produce different wear on the vane. For 0.4-mm sediment particles, head more seriously worn by impact; 0.058-mm tail scouring. Spray-coating with produces significant anti-sand-wear performance. Before spraying, total at maximum position reached 45 μm 90 h testing, but spray-coating, was only 2.6 136 testing. test results treatment are used to derive calculation formula that provides basis anti-silt-abrasion hydraulic design operation. The vane’s life expectancy in power plant estimated. had be replaced 22.7 months operation P = 11.4 MW, it operated 44.2

In industrial production systems, including the most important factors in the economic field machining operations, reduce tool wear due to abrasive nature of the phenomenon on many factors, including temperature Lathe tool, influences, machining conditions (cutting speed, speed losses, forcing to rebuild parts of the manufacturing tolerances disassemble tool wear is caused by the phenomenon, as...
متن کاملCryogenic treatment of tungsten carbide reduces tool wear when machining medium density fiberboard
igh-temperature corrosion/oxidation has been shown to be a major contributor to the wear of tungsten carbide when machining medium density fiberboard (MDF) (Stewart 1992). Consequently, a change in the properties of the tool material to resist wear from the adverse wood machining environment needs to be investigated. A deep cryogenic treatment shows promise as a tool material treatment for incr...
متن کاملWear and tool life of tungsten carbide, PCBN and PCD cutting tools
The wear mechanisms of cutting tools made of tungsten-carbide (WC), PCBN and PCD were investigated using the tool life and temperature results available in the literature. For tool/work combinations WC/steel and PCBN/hardened-steel, under practical conditions, tool wear was found to be greatly influenced by the temperature. It was concluded that the most likely dominant tool wear mechanism for ...
متن کاملFlow and Thermal Performance of a Gas Turbine Nozzle Guide Vane with a Leading Edge Fillet
Complex three-dimensional vortex flows develop at the junction of a gas turbine airfoil and its casing (endwall). These flows increase the transfer of heat from the combustion gases to the metal parts and contribute to reduced aerodynamic efficiency. Past studies have shown that the use of a large fillet at the airfoil-endwall junction can reduce or eliminate the endwall vortex flow pattern. To...
